The Nautical Institute , USGulf Branch, Technical Dinner Meeting

Our first technical dinner meeting of the New Year will include a guest presentation by Rear Admiral J. Weldon Koenig, USN (retired). Admiral Koenig, after graduating from UT in Austin in 1958 was commissioned in the US Navy. During his 31 year naval career he served on surface ships and nuclear submarines as well as naval staffs. He was in command of a nuclear submarine during the cold war, was promoted to Rear Admiral in 1984, and retired from the Navy in 1989. He expects to include in his presentation advice on the latest submarine buildings for the US Navy.
